The project has a plain inner shell containing the conditioned living spaces.
This shell is surrounded by an intricate trellis structure which creates additional rooms that are neither indoor nor outdoor space.

This semi-sheltered space becomes part of the interior when the doors and windows are thrown open.

The woven screen defines views to the distant ocean, while obscuring views into the house from the surrounding houses.
